How to Join the Seminole County Gun and Archery Association

Unless previously registered, new member applications are accepted every Public Day between 8:00 and 8:30 am for the 9:00am class. This allows time for applicant orientation prior to the Safety Orientation class. A new applicant is required to complete the following 3 steps.

    STEP 1: Complete a membership application form.
    1. Submit your application form with a one-time $50.00 application fee, one-time $150 assessment fee, and $120.00 for annual membership dues ($320.00 total). The application fee is non-refundable. Only checks and cash are accepted.

    2. The new member will receive a copy of the Club Rules and Bylaws.

    3. The new member will verify his or her proof of NRA membership with the Vice President or sign up that day (service provided).

    4. The new member will have his picture taken for his or her membership ID card.

    5. The new member will receive a probationary membership card allowing access to the required Members only Club Meetings.

    STEP 2: The probationary Member Is required to attend a Range Safety Orientation.

    STEP 3: The probationary member will then attend two SCGAA meetings per the by-laws.
    1. Two Members meetings qualifies, and need not be consecutive.

    2. The probationary member will have no voting rights at the Members' Meeting until the completion of his or her second qualifying meeting.

    3. Probationary members do not have range privileges (access) and can only attend the range as the guest of a member, or on Public Days.

Upon Completion of these 3 steps, within a 6 month period, you become a Full Member, this entitles you the badge holder to access to the OPEN ranges 365 days a year from the Sun up to Sun down based on the current national weather service prescribed times.
